Virginia Railway Express (VRE)

Currently supporting planning and design efforts related to development of new rail rolling stock mid-day storage facilities in Washington DC, including performing operations analyses, researching property interests, supporting property acquisition, coordinating with Amtrak regarding Washington Union Station and Washington Terminal Yard Master Plan improvements, and drafting Request for Proposals (RFP) for additional consultant support.

National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak)

Prepared Long Term Facilities Plan (LTFP) to respond to recommendation of the Amtrak Office of the Inspector General.  Performed end user interviews, field inspections, and other research to establish baseline and identify planned changes and improvement opportunities.  The LTFP includes a verified real property asset inventory, planned and proposed changes and additional improvement opportunities.  Development complemented separate Amtrak in-house program to update asset data base software.

Private Developer, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania

Performed feasibility study for potential restoration of commuter rail service between Philadelphia and Phoenixville, Pennsylvania via Norristown.  Scope included conceptual level ridership analysis, operational analysis, examination of institutional issues vis-à-vis facilities owners SEPTA and Norfolk Southern, location of potential station sites, and conceptual level cost estimates.

Nebraska Department of Roads (NDOR)

Examined policy and statutory issues associated with potential implementation of accelerated / alternative project delivery program, focusing on design-build and Construction Manager / General Contractor (CM/GC).  Helped draft enabling legislation to allow NDOR to use design-build and CM/GC.  Helped develop policies and procedures to implement accelerated project delivery.

Triangle Transit Authority (Go Triangle)

Helped resolve Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility issues during design and developing commissioning plans for Durham-Orange Light Rail project in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area.
